bridal shower invites are in the mail!

The bridal shower invites are in the mail! However, by now most guests have received them {I hope}. With the Canada Post on strike back in June the invites went out a bit late. Better late than never! And I'm really happy how they came out. Rachel from Apple Blossom Print customized her invite silhouette to conform with my bridal shower colour theme.
The theme, 1950's housewife, combined perfectly with Rachel's idea. The invites and envelopes were printed and purchased at Staples, the blank address labels and recipe cards purchased from Michael's Crafts (what a perfect colour match).
What do you think?

a Bride & Groom at a Park {Paris}

Just got back from Paris, France and while sightseeing I happened upon a couple on their Wedding day! Here they are at Jardin des Tuileries, wish I had taken more pics but I felt like such a tourist already snapping away.
I was actually in France for my friend's wedding so a post will be up about her fairytale wedding held at a Chateau.
Love the two-toned heels!

Videographer Booked {Focus Productions}

So I went back and forth with the idea of a Wedding Videographer. My fiance and I were on the fence to get one or not, most married couples we talked to said "go for it!" as they had regretted they hadn't. After seeing my brother's wedding video from ten years ago we knew we had to have a professional wedding video. Why? Because we couldn't stop laughing...it was nice and touching to see all the wedding guests. The drunken speeches, the dance moves, and sadly a few guests who are no longer with us. We knew at that moment, "that's it we must book!". Booking the videographer was a hard choice, we wanted a video that wasn't boring to watch (doesn't everyone) and not too long. We didn't want a wedding recap of everything but just highlights. So, we found our fit with Focus Productions. I'm not going to get technical with terms, I call it videographer they call it cinematography. Anyhow, all I know is that I love the look of their work!

Too Pretty to Eat {Cupcakes Couture}

Wedding cakes sure have come along way in terms of design. The yummy inside perhaps hasn't changed much but these cakes by Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach are works of art. I can't pick my favourite as they are all so pretty! I love cakes that aren't over the top, simple but with an ounce of glamour.

the same cake but just a different touch

Which cake is your favourite?
